Floor Register Finishes - Blend In or Stand Out?

We get this question regularly from our customers - should we order our floor registers to stand out or blend into our flooring? Of course it comes down to personal preference, but we like the approach of using kul grilles as an accent piece.

Here is a photo from a customer who chose a brushed chrome vent cover against a beautiful black porcelain tile. The architect and homeowner are very happy with how the air vent covers stand out in the house and the homeowner loves showing off her grilles to her guests! We like to think of kul grilles as 'jewelry for your home'.
