How to Measure For Vent Covers

1. Remove existing vent covers 

2. Measure the hole

Tip: Do NOT measure the old vent cover. Every vent cover has a different size of outside frame so we cannot use the old/existing vent cover as a guide Tip: For custom sizes, please send us the exact dimensions of the hole. This helps us determine which size works best. (do not undersize the dimensions)

3. Choose your kul grille size:

Example: for a 10" x 4" opening, your vent cover dimensions will be as shown;

  • The "Stack" is the part of the vent cover that needs to fit into the hole opening. kul grilles stack dimensions are undersized by 1/4" for clearance.

    Wall and Ceiling Applications

    kul grilles air vent covers can be used for wall and ceiling application as well as floor. In order to mount the vent covers securely to the ceiling and sidewall, select "Yes" from the "Include Mounting Holes" drop down menu.

    Screws required for different grille sizes:

    Different sizes of register covers require a different number of holes to ensure the vent cover is properly secured into the ceiling / sidewall. The below diagram shows how many holes will be visible on each grille size and where they will be placed on the frame of the grille.
